CHURCH STAFF
DEACON
Bruce Allen

Bruce and Wife Kathy have raised three children with nine grandchildren. Bruce graduated from the University of Missouri-Rolla with a BS in Mining Engineering and has worked in the Mining and Manufacturing Industries for 41 plus years.
Bruce has attended Richfield Bible Church (RBC) since 2006. Bruce chose RBC as it’s one of the few Churches that teach the true word of the Lord verse by verse.
Bruce was baptized in a Congregation Church as a child. Bruce has also attended several denominational churches in five different locations, including the United Methodist Church, United Church of Canada (which is a Protestant Church), and Shadow Mountain Baptist Church. Bruce and his wife taught Sunday School at two of the above Churches. Bruce has served a Chair of the Administrative Board of one of the above Churches.
In the third-grade Bruce was given his first Bible and accepted Christ. Bruce believes that the Lord has saved Bruce’s life three times, once from drowning and two times in car accidents. Bruce believes that the Lord ‘s work for him is to serve and help others in different ways.
Bruce’s favorite verse in the Bible is Psalm 23: ”The Lord is my shepherd: I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside the still waters; he restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteous-ness for his name’s sake. Even, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil; for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies: thou anointest my head with oil, my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever."
DEACON
Stephen L. Miller and Wife Susan

Steve has been married to his wife Susan since 1973. They have 2 adult children and 3 grandchildren. Steve served in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years, and then attended the University of Utah on the GI Bill. After graduating, he worked for 41 years as a professional engineer in mining, manufacturing, and civil engineering.
He was raised in an atheist family, and came to faith in Christ through personal Bible study at age 29. He attended ministry school a few years later, but found God calling him to resume his career in engineering.
He has been happily retired since 2020, enjoying service in the church projects. He and Susan live on a small farm where he also enjoys forging knives, wood turning, and farm projects.
One of Steve’s favorite scriptures is 2 Timothy 2:24-26:
“The Lord's bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged, with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will.”

ELDER
Buck Mitchell and Wife JoAnn

Although born and raised in Texas, Buck Mitchell and his wife JoAnn have lived in Utah for over 20 years. Buck worked oil rigs before retiring and now raises beef on his property in addition to helping others in the community. Buck Mitchell teaches the Adult Sunday School classes, ministers to the needs of our local church body, has taught Thursday night Adult Bible Study, and recently supervised the building extension of our fellowship hall. Buck loves serving the Lord here at RBC and his friendly smile has welcomed newcomers to RBC for many years.
ELDER
Darryl Hutchinson and Wife Debbie

Darryl Hutchinson spent twelve years as a history teacher in California public schools before moving to the family farm in Utah in 2021. He has since retired from public education and, along with his wife, has devoted his time to teaching and overseeing the curriculum of RBC's Children's Church and Sunday School programs as well as the Thursday evening Adult Bible Study, the monthly Saturday Men's Breakfast, and has recently been tasked with substituting for our late pastor, Delton Koehn, until such time as the congregation selects a new pastor.

Despite repeating a prayer on television one Easter Sunday at the age of 16, Darryl didn't truly come to know the Lord until the age of 35 during difficult and pivotal times in his career and personal life. Since then, Darryl has grown tremendously under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and of several godly men who have served as mentors to him. He seeks to serve Christ and the local body however God calls him.

Darryl often looks to Colossians 3:16-17 as a reminder of how we are to cheerfully and obediently submit ourselves under the grace of God: "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with gratefulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him."
